If you're searching for authentic Chinese cuisine in Haltom City, look no further than First Chinese BBQ. Nestled at 5310 E Belknap St, this charming eatery is renowned for its traditional offerings and inviting atmosphere. The standout dishes, particularly the roasted duck and BBQ pork, have garnered rave reviews from enthusiastic patrons. Jeff Smith praised the "fabulous" roasted duck and the addictively delicious veggie bean sprout dish, while Siwaporn Archariya celebrated the aromatic flavors and tender meat, particularly noting the sweetness of the BBQ pork.
The ambiance may be simple, yet it's clean and welcoming, often reflecting a family-run vibe. The wait staff, likely family members, create a warm environment, enhancing the dining experience. Just a heads up, cash is the only accepted payment method, so plan accordingly like Steve Wallace, who humorously shared his experience of a last-minute ATM run.

Finally made it for lunch. Excellent helping of food. The roasted duck tasted fabulous. We had some veggie bean sprout dish and that was very addicting. 4 dishes total and went home with leftovers that was able to feed 2 for dinner.

I found this old Chinese restaurant my co-worker swore by, and from outside, it didn’t look like inside! But let me tell you, it was like finding a diamond in the rough! Inside decoration is very clean well organized. Roasted duck: Duck is a little fatty under the duck skin (personal preference). But I think it was great! Very aromatic, tender, sweet and savory. Roasted pork: Ahhh, pork is my favorite meat already so I am bias. But it was sweet, tender, juicy, I want it again now! Stir fry Morning Glory (water Spanish): I know it is a simple dish, but I also know that to make a simple dish excellent is challenging, they nailed it! Good price, great (huge) potion! Service: I think they are family business, so the wait staff must be family members or friends. Really welcoming, really nice! Please Prepare just one thing that they accept cash only.

First of all, remember to bring cash or you will need to leave your spouse while you drive towards downtown Ft Worth to the Wells Fargo drive through ATM, like I did. The food is always so delicious - hot, fresh and consistent. We had orange chicken and Pork soft noodles. The egg rolls are a little different but really good. It's become a regular for us.

CASH ONLY. The place is welcoming to anybody that wants and knows true Chinese food. !B6. BBQ Pork. This is classic char siu pork that is not too sweet but very flavorful. Taste so good with rice. !R5. Roasted Duck on Rice. It’s duck cooked right. Don’t miss out on the side of sauce. It elevates the duck. N13. BBQ Crispy noodle. A classic dish done right. You get a big nest of crispy noodles surrounding the meats and veggies on a bed of gravy. A11. Hong Kong Style Crab. The dish is good but had better. It is a little spicy. I do recommend it’s mixed with rice. Fyi. Wait to be seated. CASH ONLY. Family portions.

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and yes the chefs have changed but the food always slaps. It’s the definitely one of the places I always take family to go eat and want to go eat when I come back to visit my family as well. The wonton noodle soup with duck is 10/10. Also their flat noodle beef stir fry is also 10/10. Get the duck if you can because it’s delicious. I also personally love the salt and pepper shrimp! Service is hit or miss but usually everyone is nice! Everything is very affordable.

One of the Metroplex's enduring Chinese chains. Love the wonton noodle soup. Always fresh, just the same as it has been for decades. They do Chinese-American classics really well too, like sesame chicken Mongolian beef. It's cash only, unpretentious, and welcoming.

The waiter can do everything. I suppose you could hire another person, but he does the work of two people. He's the Asian Flash. The food was great and the service is very attentive.
